Turbo SOHC Eagle Rods Gone bad

yeah they block had like quarter size holes and shit lol... what is the owner planing on building now that that one is fuk??

Rod bolt failure. Looks like install error to me. Eagle uses the same rod bolts Crower and others use. Probably would have happened with any brand.

Eagle rods have been used on 900whp builds. Power did not kill the rod, the install did.

Care to share what you found?

My guess is that it is a 5/16th bolt that was torqued to 3/8 bolt specs.

Eagle rods are strong. I used eagle rods for my first y8 build I did my self. Never had a problem at 28psi peak boost. But stuff breaks, just happens with this hobby.

they are arp 2000 which are 3/8 bolts, The rod was over torqued, that lead to the rod heating up and melting off the bolts, the bearing disintegrated i will post a pic of the bearing later on today

daaamnnn...hope the guys that built mine didn't do the same thing with my eagle rods! thats got me worried now. how many miles did he have on it when that happend? I'm guessing not much.
