and as for buying a type-s i would love to do that but with the economy i cant get another loan so im stuck with my base model. But me and my father or willing to do the work but he is a domestic kind of guy and im a tuner. But he knows his shit so thats why im having him help me with the swap. He took a stock off the showroom srt-4 and within two weeks him and his buddy had the beast running mid-11's to low 12's

^ They're talking about the type S motor. Not a whole new car.

Either way a Turbo'd K will be a lot of fun. I'd suggest making an account on hondahookup.com just so you can download the factory service manual for your car. That will include everything on pulling the motor and putting it back in. Along with torque specs and all that fun stuff.

And i was gonna go with the t34 turbo but im still not sure. and engine upgrades would be rods forged pistons bored and shaved heads so on.... But as i said all the help is appreciated my friends. I may just go with the S motor. As for tranny what do you think i should do going that rout. The swaps come with everything from the block to the clutch, flywheel etc. And what about exhaust? And should i do a complete suspension swap as well?
You can easily make 250wheel with a k20 motor,just cams,high compression internals,a little headwork,RBC intake manifold,and a ssr/dtr header.

It's just pointless and downright moronic to buy a type r swap, just to tear it apart and build it.

When I start my k series build,i'm going straight to a k24A2 block,k20a2 head,and forged internals+cams.

Have fun with the turbo kit. They are a pain in the balls on the RSX. My biggest suggestion is investing in a Hondata Kpro for you engine management.

The prices for everything don't add up. If you're buying a K20R don't put a lousy turbo kit on it. Get something like Full-Race or a custom set-up. With that being said you're not going to get away with that for under $4500. Also you're swapping from auto to manual. That is another extra expense on top of the motor and turbo.

Another suggestion if you're putting a turbo on the car put a new clutch in the new motor before you do the swap. It's much easier. You never mentioned any suspension work that you have. You're going to have to be able to keep that kind of power on the ground. This is a huge project so just do all your homework first. Good luck.

Is 15-20hp really worth $1600?

I'd rather buy a type-S,use that 1600 for pistons/rods/ips cams and such.

Just my .02
Matt is know a k-series expert...that 1600 should go to ips cams, which on a boosted application I could easily see gaining over 30whp

shifter box and cables-300
clutch pedal assembly-?
and if you haven't got a k-pro/hondata yet-just under 1,000

dont remember if you need them i dont think but if you do type S axles and hubs-250 at least
