ok i have a new AEM CAI for my 97 civic dx and know one knows exactly how to put it on. ive asked a few of my buddies and no one knows. it looks as if it requires cutting of the fender well but that sounds absurd. So if anyone is familiar and thinks they can install it please email me at sdmills1180@yahoo.com Id hate to have to take it to a shop its an intake for crying out loud! THANKS

mine came with instructions which i didnt use. i removed my stock air silencer box (which was a piece of junk might i add) throught the fenderwell. i think it means you have to jack your car up remove your front passenger side wheel and remove the screws to the fenderwell flap. once there you can see a horrendous looking stock resonator box. remove that. hookup your main CAI tube to the throttle body and tighten the clamps down then put the air filter on the end where the old stock resonator box was. tighten down all clamps connect the breather hose & radiator bypass hose (or water control valve whatever its called) and put your fenderwell flap in tire back on and lower your car off the jack. starter up!
