Similar problem as jdm punk!
why would you put gsr pistons in an LS, if its not a LS-V you need to put ls pistons and rings, you can usually get a full rebuild kit off ebay for about $250-300 and that includes evrything(pistons, rings,gaskets,water pump, timing belt,ect) thats what i would do just rebuild it, start out fresh
i wouldnt recommend those ebay specials. all oem honda for me! i pm'ed you a price on the pistons and when you rebuild get the stuff from berto at autoway honda he is a good guy and gives a nice discount his ext is 128
i didnt say that only LS pistons go in an LS block, i asked him why he was putting GSR pistons in a stock LS if hes not doing an LS-V, i would be careful doing that cause you can mess up the RS of your motor and make it unreliable, and if you build an LS-V the right way its fine

lol okay guys is all good my friend has done it and his car runs like a champ..maybe if i would of said b16 piston now thats a diff story

even b16 pistons will work as long as the bore is the same. just have be carefull with higher compression pistons with there dome and and piston/valve clearance but none of the stock oem piston would give you a problem
