Do this, buy a can of Dupont Suva WITH DIE ($8 at Autozone) and a incandescent black light from Wal-Mart for less than $20. Add the Suva with Die (adding the Suva with die will add a UV die, kinda like highlighter liquid, and will cause the leak to show up, especially under a black light), run the A/C at night and scan both inside the car and within the engine bay with the black light for bright ass A/C leaks. If you do not see any bright ass drips, sprays, etc. after I'd say, 2 or 3 hours of letting it run, then sit, then run, more than likely you do not have any leaks. Personally, that would be my next step as it will prove whether or not there are any leaks. Remember, always diagnose then repair!! Shoot-from-the-hip maintenance (a.k.a. replacing things at random) or people telling you what is wrong without proof is not the game you should play with your car, especially if you want your moneys worth! Just because this "Certified Mechanic" said it's good, have him prove it or prove it to yourself by diagnoses. Remember, test/diagnose then repair, do not repair then repair again when that doesn't work!

If im not mistaken, the orphice tube is in the ac line under the dash that goes into the evaporator and if you have a blockage that could be the cause,.
About the wite smoke when you have to much pressure in the lines that can cause a discharge from the vente.
Next time you run your ac go under the hood and see if the high pressure line going in to the condensor is realy hot if so, you have a blockage. I would also check the pressure switch it could also be going bad.
If you have any more questions or need help pm me or call me my contact info is in my sig.
Cood luck Cory

Sounds like it may be over pressurized. I over pressurized my system once, and it would blow cold, then make a "click/clunk" sound, and blow warm, and repeat. I couldn't tell you how I solved it. The mechanic said that he thinks the pressure was released when he fit his gauge on the high side, and after that, the PSI numbers were perfect, and the air is ice. IMO, I'd take it back to the certified technician, and have him check everything over again. It may be a bad compressor or compressor clutch though.

there is no orifice tube on the car. the integras use a expansion valve which in inside the car by the evaporator. also the high pressure vent you speak of is on the compressor not inside the car. on most car the high psi line will always be HOT so just because it is doesnt mean you have a blockage. that line will ALWAYS be hot. thats how the ac system works. it converts the hot liquid gas to a vapor and then it condenses back to a liquid in the expansion valve thus causing the ac to get COLD.

what you need to do is have a professional look at it and get it fixed. with out putting a set of ac gauges on the car EVERYTHING is just a huge guess as to what it is. if your in the clear water area come see me i work at Acura on 19.

if your condensor is bad your ac wont be that cold at times as for that white smoke that can be a heater core leak or just you seeing the mist from bursts of cold air..
