thats what i thought it was the stop plate,i will be taking that off my DA 2moro so my hood can do that..thanks for the info people and conlyn thanks for asking this question.

I didn't see any stop plate...unless the metal on what I thought was part of the fender is removeable. My buddy has a 92 da and it does that same thing as my 90 EF. The EG and DC body all do that with the hood.

its not a plate there is a lil HUMP on the metal brack you have to hammer it flat or use a grinder and gind in a groove

anything after 92 does not have it except i think 4door civic,cause i know Dc open full also
