....heat soak.....thats y i opted to use plastic bc it doesnt heat up like the metal would. either way ull get hp out of it in different conditions. for example endurance racing where prolonged engine heat will rob power and on those hot florida summer days lol....there are gains to be made. they may not b noticeably huge, but on the dyno they count! lol

Yeah, I still think i'm gonna go ahead and do it with CF. It should keep air aspirate by cone filter "colder" than without and if done right, will be esthetically pleasing. My only question is how to keep together the 2/3 pieces of CF together. In the pics, it looks like bolt, but how can u bolt at a 90 degee angle? I was thinking of some kind of seal such as JB weld or silicone to keep the 2 pieces of CF together... but i'd rather use something more sturdy... any ideas?

You can always make one kind-of like this... Go to Home Depot and get a sheet of roofing aluminum... Then, get a board/ piece of wood and bend the aluminum around the board!!!

the box i used already had bends. if ur good enough with a pop riveter u can rivet the sides together. not sure how good carbon bends tho....its brittle isnt it?

I've seen this done at LHT numerous times. Call John or Paul, 727-344-1800.

I have pics somewhere, but I can't find them.
