i can bleed air out of the system till my face turns blue.. there are no leaks any where and we put a coolant pressure tester on it lastnight and it bleeds down slow, real slow, and the plugs are white. he wants to tear it down this weekend and put a headgasket on it. the sensor just doesn't make sense to me, but i'll start there

so the car smokes alot?if it was the headgasket when you TURN ON THE AC"fan" the temp would not go down it would stay up and rise slower..you sure the radiator is good and not all crapped up...have you drained out some oil to see if it has water drops in it or littly milky and thin

it's all new, but i can flush it and see what comes out. the car doesn't smoke that bad. you can turn the heater control knob to hot and it drops to 1/2 in about 3 seconds, but then will soon rise to 3/4 again.
