ive heard that the twin loops mufflers off of s2000's flow pretty well. anyone know more about this. i kno they look clean n are quiet. i just got pulled over again for a muffler and am tired of it. so i was gonna buy an s2k muffler n have it welded up to my 2.5in pipe. anyone know how well this will work? theres just a fart can on there now so will i c a big loss in power with the s2k muffler? thanks in advance

 

I woudln't think so. You'll most likely see more low end power. Our cars need some kind of back pressure and they tend to loose that when people go slapping fart cans on em.

 

well i hope ur right. im tired of getting pulled over for a muffler so i want something quiet (and oem looking to keep the pigs away). so i thought the s2k one would do. anyone else know how they perform?

 

Can they still give you a ticket for "modified exhaust" even though it's an OEM muffler??

the s2k muffler is a twin loop design to keep it quiet! But remember if you have str8 piping all the way to the muffler its still going to produce a bit of noise without any resonators! I say you do it but get a resonater in there so it will sound pretty much stock with a good flowing system!

 

theres already 2 resonaters in there bc the fart can was WAY too loud! another question....is the muffler itself straight through n free flowing, or is there baffles n shit in there?? know of anyone sellin an s2k muffler?

If I were you I'd go with a nice HKS or apexi system. I have the Apexi WSII on my hatch with a b16 without a cat and it's pretty quite! You actually hear the motor over the exhaust at all times.
