yea but i just got snagged for a "non factory muffler." so i want to try n make it look as factory as possible. but i do agree....the ws is quiet. i just dont have money for a complete system now. i just need something i can weld on.

 

put the s2k exhaust on there! And if a cop gives you some shit about having a aftermarket exhaust make sure he jams his head under there to spell the letters "HONDA" imprented right on it!

And if the cop knows alot about hondas and sees that his del sol isnt an s2k hes going to get a ticket.

Modifying your exhaust in ANY way that makes it .00000001db over stock is ILLEGAL.

strange, I didnt realize s2k exhausts say "s2k" in it...? How do you tell one stock honda exhaust from another?... And actually now that I think about it I dont even think they say honda actually its probably stamped by another company but I dont feel like going out side right now to check so you will have to find out on your own.

He has resonators in his piping! I dont think it would be much of a problem for him to get a passing DB rating with a stock muffer and resonators!

 

i had a s2k on my eg using thermal r and d mid w/ resinator and a test pipe. it was nice and quiet and i didnt notice a lose in performance (not that a exhaust makes the much of a diff) the only problem was the size of it. a good amount of welding but well worth it i would say. sold i now tho and running a type r muffler

Also aren't s2k exhausts twin loop?I don't think ef/eg/ek stock exhausts are.....

so who is the cop who is capable of determining a difference between two stock honda mufflers mounted on a car in the middle of a traffic stop with an extensive knowledge of honda parts...

I see your point but I dont believe it would be worth any cops time to pursue someone for a stock muffler. And even if someone is able to tell, if he passes the the sound tests at the DMV he should be ok?
