so who is the cop who is capable of determining a difference between two stock honda mufflers mounted on a car in the middle of a traffic stop with an extensive knowledge of honda parts...
I see your point but I dont believe it would be worth any cops time to pursue someone for a stock muffler. And even if someone is able to tell, if he passes the the sound tests at the DMV he should be ok?

And the only way i can see a cop distinguishing the s2k muffler from a stock ef/eg/ek/dc/ep exhaust is the twin loop is if he gets under the car and actually looks.
But the chances of that happening are VERY VERY slim.
And i've never heard of any db tests at the dmv.

wow....i didnt mean to cause an argument. i think ive met all the cops that are dickheads lookin to make some money off of me. thats y i posted this in the first place. only reason im asking is bc ive seen how the s2k mufflers look on other cars n i like the fact that its clean AND it performs (or so i hear). either way i have 30 days to get rid of the fart can so i gotta do sumthin. this was just one option and i wanted to research it a lil b4 i went thru with it. thanks for the help everyone!
i had a s2k on my eg using thermal r and d mid w/ resinator and a test pipe. it was nice and quiet and i didnt notice a lose in performance (not that a exhaust makes the much of a diff) the only problem was the size of it. a good amount of welding but well worth it i would say. sold i now tho and running a type r muffler
also.....you would b suprized how big a difference an exhaust can make in a car. all motor cars HAVE TO BREATHE. if they dont then theyre getting robbed of hp. its all a combonation of things, the exhaust being one of them, that makes a motor perform at its best. so yes....exhaust does make that much of a diff.

Like on subarus for instance the muffler is actually the most restrictive part of the exhaust system.With just a catback there is phenomenal gains.
And with a turbo back and tune some people have gained 50Whp

i have a tanabe medalien catback system, its quiet and looks good... and ive never gotten pulled over for it... As long as its not loud and obnoxious sounding the cops shouldnt mess with you... i agree with the other guys the WSII is a nice system
yea if i had money id definately get a ws....or an rsr ex mag. my exhaust is pretty quiet n i still get busted all the time. im tired of it so i want something oem. it was either a type r muffler, a type s muffler, or an s2k muffler. n i like the way the twin loop looks so thats what ima get. thanks everyone!
