Latest project on my hatch (cold air duct).
Thats great if it doesn't restrict any air. So what makes you think the same components that said air filter is made out of will...?
You sir are a fucking moron. End of story. KTHXBYE. But in related news, A prefilter will help you and actually flow 100000x better than your dumbass realizes. Please take your home made shit box kit and ram it up your ignorant ass.
HEYHEYHEY we dont need to talk like this not called for..

but the way your talking i just think your thinking hey this is likke a lil turbo the faster i go the air will force its way up there more power...but all you need to do is make the airAROUND the filter cooler so even if it is not connected like your then it is safer..but im not saying put a whole pillow in there just something to block water and such from gather easy and finding its way up...how do you think a snowblower works it grinds up the snow infront sucks it up thru a airduct and blows it away in not saying your intake has max suck cause your airfilter is in the middle but yes water can find its way up..imnot saying no 10mins drive in the rain im talking 70mph i75 drive with cars and trucks in front just blanketing your car with water..it is a good idea in your head but not needed or they makers would have thought about

god i remember getting my CAI and worrying about my filter/engine getting waterlogged. love the air duct. i heard that bypass valves dont always work if even at all. But about that cotton filter. is there other alternatives?

the duct looks nice! good way to improve air quality for the engine instead of letting it completely suck in all that engine heat. and for you other guys, you are thinking way to deep about this...water, air, trash, you guys are not realizing that this is something simple, to provide better air quality, not force air into the motor, if that was the case wouldn't you guys recommend him a turbo kit?
I like it! I had a similar set up on my mx-6. I ran a cai down to the bottom of the splash guard and mounted a A/C vent in there and plumbed the CAI to the vent. From underneat all you could see was a little scoop. On those cold nights you could definately feel a difference! I saw keep it! If ya get caught in a bad storm just push the ducting down like you said. In fact I think I'm gonna come up with something like this for my ef as I've been afraid to do the CAI thing! Rep for you bro!

Don't take life so serious. It's not like were getting out of it alive anyway.

The air duct is a cool idea I didn't mean to bash on you when I said track only mod. Those bypass valves work incredibly well. I saw (but can't remember where) the bypass valve being used on a nsx and the intake pipe was completely submerged in water...the water would only get sucked about 5 inches up the pipe with the valve in place. And that test was the most extreme condition.
