need help.. i have an lsvtec with forged pistons/rods stock sleeves 81.25mm
the pistons are either 8.5-1 or 9-1..what would you consider a safe shot on that setup..ill have 550cc injectors walboro 255 fuel pump and ill be switchin to obd1..just need some opinions..i have a turbo setup but i think im pretty much forced to sell it from complications. Thanks for any advice.

 

If everything is quality and the pistons are aftermarket...you could get away with a 125 shot wet direct port all day. I ran approx 80 shot wet on a factory b18a1 with 80k miles and after 2 bottles it still came back with stock compression across the board. Its all in how you hook up the nitrous and you will deff want a wet shot and direct port is the best of all the nitrous setups.

 

direct port is also really expensive right?..
it has aftermarket forged pistons and rods..it will be a wet kit for sure.

 

125 or 150 direct port (wet or coarse) will be fine all day and should be 11 sec car on slick

 

^thats exactly what i want to hear..i wanted an 11sec turbo setup but i just cant afford it right now..so i was hopin to sell the turbo kit do nitrous and get the car painted a/c installed and clean up the interior..but maybe i should leave it gutted..also what all do i need for direct port..and is this SAFE like i can do it once a day? or like once a week at a track?...im lookin for daily numbers ..thanks

I wouldn't get so happy as doing it once a day but it is deff. safe if hooked up correctly. Yes, direct port kits are a little more expensive but would you rather spend the couple hundred extra now or the couple thousand later when you burn one of your pistons because your not getting even distribution? Save some money out of an extra paycheck or 2 and you will be MUCH happier with the direct port. Also, a 75 hp shot on a wet setup that is not direct port will be slower than a 75 shot direct port setup.

 

^ i have no paychecks right now..im selling turbo kit..but ineed to pay bills as well..so thats why im asking..i still want my car fast..i know my prioritites are a lil fked up but hey shit happens..im young thanks for the info..ill look into a direct port kit..i doubt anyone here has one for sale..i wanted to go cheaper thats why im holding off on the turbo..and i wont do it daily but i want it that safe..incase i need it....more info is always appreciated such as whp on bseries with 100shots and ets from 1/4 mile so i know what to expect..

1990 EF hatch b18a1 I/H/E with 75 shot ran 13.9@101.5 without launching (rolled on it like you do from a stop light).

 

^ thats how ill probably do when i go .. im afraid imma look like an idiot..not a bad time..im hopin for an 11..88crx hf lightest body style with lsvtec + 100shot..ill do direct port..seems like the best way to go..thanks guys..
