Run either Genuine Honda Standard Transmission Fluid or 10w-30. Syncromesh I haven't ran in a Honda yet but it helps with grindage in DSM. If you have a grinding problem its probably the driver.

MTF is what is required in a Honda tran. I have a spare LS tranny, so I'll be a genie big and try it out.

Supposedly Honda's new formula mtf is not up to par with the old stuff. So I've heard anyway.

Amsoil is making a Honda specific mtf. Anyone try it?

The new Honda MTF is definately thinner than the old stuff.

One thing you guys may want to consider using this is to change it frequently. i change my yesteraday, it had at least 10k on the fluid, but the fluid came out darker and thick. More darker than I've ever seen in a tranny fluid changed. I was told by a few hardcore guys on h-t.com about changed it more frequently, but never bother with their reasonin.

Just to give you heads up since I found it kinda weird when I did this last nite. went back to OEM new MT fluid.

Like Berto said. Might want to think about changing the fluid more often. I use Royal Purple. Love it
