please help!! brakes..
i just put rear disc on my 94 civic cx last night, with brembo cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. in the front i have si front brakes, with rotara slotted rotors and ceramic pads also.. (the si brakes are the same size as the integra brakes)
my problem is that my car doesnt stop as good as i feel it should, it actually decreased my braking distance, if i get on the brakes really hard, the front will lock up but not the backs, do i need an integra proportioning valve? or master cylinder? thanks for your help..
oh and thatnks fro the honda/ acura meet yonkee!! it was ah the very nice! sexy time!! lol

Well, I just have the integra fronts with stock drum rear. In my case, yes if I slam the hell out of them they will MOST DEFINATELY lock up! You have to know how to use the pedal and it took me a little bit to get used to them as well. I have Powerslot rotors with Hawk HP Plus pads and MOTUL RBF600 fluid, my brakes are INSANE over stock, but you just gotta feel out the pedal(called threshold braking in racing terms).
Now, like I said I do not have the rears yet. So I dont know if that changes anything. Your front will always lock before the back and you do not have ABS so its going to lock up if you slam your brakes. Are they locking up under normal driving or only when you slam them down? try using a little less sudden force and see what happens, maybe you just need to get used to them still.

well yea i understand that, i mean if i control the brake pedal to not lock up my tires, it feels like the rears arent working, i had a better stopping distance with the drum in the rear. lol
im thinking theres not enough fluid going into the calipers being that it had small wheel cylinder before, and now the pistons int the callipers take more fluid to move, i do not think theres enogh fluid being sent to the rear.
and if i jack up the car and depress the brake pedal the tire will not roll, so i know the brake system is in working condition...

Yeah I see what you mean, I would atleast throw the new distribution valve on there. That should take care of that problem for you. There should be one that will fit directly into your car without making new lines. not sure which car has it for your eg though.

talking about the booster? From what I have read, the booster will only add pedal feel(stiffer and starts working sooner through the pedal range). But I thought about that and compared it to how my pedal is now, I would almost want it a little spongy to reduce my errors
