Wow, that's kind of asking a lot. if you want the warm fuzzy feeling of a guarentee you should go to a for real shop. it won't take as long as you think, but the price will be what you expect it to be for just that reason. when i had somebody i met off of TR put my engine in last month i took a chance on getting burned and luckily it worked out, and i even made a new friend. i'd PM ekhatchboy again in a heartbeat if my car was fucked up. he is an honest guy that knows his stuff. he hooked me the fuck up. a 2 day engine swap for my integra for 350.oo; was a 5th of the cost it would have been to see a mechanic at his shop.

damn al you still having problems? Hit me up. I can put it in on or just help either way. The thing is I would want to get it to one of the shops I use. Clearwater or Lake Hamilton (Haines city area) Since your going to do the head gaskett you shold do the water pump & timing belt.

There's some kind of conflict here.......
want it cheap
want guarantee
want it quick
can't do it personally

It isnt a 20 min fix for sure. It isnt that hard if you have done it before. The question is what happens if it is done & turns out the head has a crack warped or a sleav cracked? I mean if you dont get some of those things checked then you wont know for 100% if it will be right when put back together. How much you wanting to pay someone to do it? Do you have a way to get it to a shop? I have 2 differant shops but, I would need to know in advance & we would have to talk about the things that MAY be wronge with it that you wpuld only know if you took it to a machine shop or someone that had the shit to find cracks. When you over heat a motor it can cause alot of problems.

honestly if you want it done right, get a book and do it yourself, that way if it gets messed up you did it, a lot of time with headgasket jobs you have to take the head to a machine shop to get pressure tested and sometimes resurfaced, I don't want to be a dick, but asking for a warranty expect to pay good money, this is why I only do work for myself I thought that guys were trying to rip me off but in the end it never EVER hurts to have that head pressure check, because (and Im not saying you did) if you ran that car hot for too long resurfacing is a must otherwise you are out of luck, also get new headbolts or arp headstuds if you are keeping the car, because you can't reuse headbolts. Im just telling you because I made all those mistakes trying to get a cheap deal and in the end it would have been cheaper to take it to a shop.

who needs a shop?

we did my room mates turbo B18C1 head gasket in the parking lot outside our condo in like 4 hours.... tools are DEF a must tho, esp a good torque wrench.

i agree with sprjit22 and elguluso on this one, if you are that worried about people screwing up your engine, and dont want to pay much, you really have no other option than doing it yourself.

i would offer to do it, but i dont know your car, how it runs, its quirks, etc, so if you tell me its a HG, and i replace the HG like ive done 8000000 times, and thats not it, then you would be pissed and not pay me, and WTF good does that do me?

im not being an asshole, im just making a point. but just for shits and giggles, how much do you want to spend, knowing its a 3-4 hour job, and theyd need to bring tools?

hope someone can help you out...
