type r oil pump on a b16a block?
somewhat true& false,,,,,,same flow,,,,,,,only difference is where the OBD-2 crank position sensor (the shit u don't used for OBD-1 maps) have a location mounthing for it.
But too answer to your orginal thread starter, it is the same part number for all CR-V, '99-'00 si, LS , etc, etc.
U can used this on any B-series, but if you want the timing-belt bottom outside cover, must be used from '96 and up, part#11810-P72-A00 (i stock like 10 of these)
Also, if this matters to you or not, look into Jim Justice re-work OEM oil pump, aka Justice racing. Seems to improve it the increase of flow over stock, kinda like what Toda does.
from your gay-resisdent OEM honda guru......Bert
yeah,,,,,that was gay!!!
bert Arnt the pickups different on the B16 over the ITR. I cant exacly remember But i vaugly remember us having a clearnce issue with the B16 Pump and pickup installed on a LS block. and the LS pickup wouldnt bolt to the pump cause of the shield. But I may be remembering wrong.

Rob,
Yes, the pickup, the vintage tray and the oil pans are different. However, both oil pump will work since the bolt pattern and the inlet are the same. Assuming we are talking about Bvtec blocks.
The reason are different is the "girdle", B16 don't have a gridle and the oil pan a smaller. B18c (c1/c5) do have them, oil pan and the vintage are slightly bigger.
However, LS are the same as B16, same oil pan, same vintage tray. But, the pickup is different from the B16 to the LS, it has a narrow bend shape to it.
Anyways, hope that helps, maybe more info but those are the fact,,,,,blah, it slow at work today,

anyone here need OEM parts

I think that was the issue with the wintage tray and oil pan. Im thinking the oil pan clearnce was the issue. and Some Select B16's have girdles Ill have to research which but i know some models came with them.
i just remember fighting with it on an LS Block we couldnt get it to pull oil it was scavanging in the pan like the pan was bent over the pickup.
all b16's are b16a it depends on the year for what obd it will be like Berto-O said...you have a1 all the way up to like a7 or something like that
