overheating problem

Does it get hot if it just sits & idles or just at 70? When the thermostat goes out it will usualy get hot regardless if it is idleing or doing 70. I would replace thermostat & see if that does the trick.

try the thermo first, its a cheap part and hopefully it fixes it, but its sounding more like your water pump may be going out, regardless your going to want to change the thermostat

yeah i just changed my thermo and now no problem. it is easy to replace (i did it my self). its something that you would want to do anyway.
do you know if and when the waterpump was changed?
