Every company has had sleeves sink... Thats part of re-sleeving... Its happened to the best companies... Bensons, AEBS, ERL, Golden Eagle... All of them... It is however a LOT less common now then it was, say, a year ago...

100 a sleeve for install is what Dominique told me..He is a great guy to deal with...He has done all my work to the ITR and it all turned out great. He has also balanced a ton of stuff for me over the years. He has some of the best prices around.ALL work is done by him not some guy that makes 10 dollars an hour .I would send anyone there with out thinking twice.

So $100 a sleeve for install, plus how much for each sleeve??? The average for a single darton sleeve is 200, so if you do the math, its 800 for the sleeves, and 400 to install, which comes out to 1200... which is the same as if not more than the big name companies charge...

Actually, darton flanged sleeves are $58.88 a pop, the darton MID sleeve kit, is $559.00. So If someone will install sleeves for 400 total, it will easily get done under a grand.

I also was reading up on Golden Eagles website. They definately cleaned up their act, they offer LIFETIME warranty against cracking, and sleeve sinking.

AND I came across a website I need to find again, that said $750 for regular darton sleeves total, and $920 for the new MID design sleeves. Thats a good deal. Ill post the site when I find it.

90% of the time this is true.

Do you have any more information on his shop?

Around Pinellas/Tampa? Who?

Every company has had their sleeves drop at one time or another. GEM is one company that has few (less than 10 that I know of) cases of this happening. I had my first block sleeved by them. It has been making 500whp for years.

I would recommend (in no order) GEM, ERL, Benson and Darton directly.
