Just do 9 PSI and a 30-50 shot and enjoy the set up. If not just buy the forged internals from CMS

Forged internals will be the safest way and let you sleep easy at night.

Good way to blow up a fairly rare motor.

Friend of mine down south has a boosted CTR motor. Probably a little different as far as parts than your's

I would keep it around 250whp with a very conservative tune.

A couple times. I think his best before the oil pump gave was a 10.6 @ 142 with full leather interior.

Dont boost that engine unless you have a GOOD TUNER and a good EMS system.
That engine is right on the verge of detonation anyways and by boosting it, you will blow it for sure.
You could probably get away with 5-7 psi with a perfect tune but that engine was never meant to be boosted...At the very least, put a thicker headgaskt on it to lower compression slightly...
If you wanted to boost, why did you go with the B16B?

Well at first to be a little more original everyone and their mother has a gsr or a si and this one I knew was located near me. So what would you consider doing? And alpha do you have anything to add to this is his car giving him any issue?

with a t3/t4 54-60trim that car WILL make 300whp and 180-200tq and if ur going from the 160whp its making now, again, this will be a TOTALLY different ballgame. I went from my stock 99 EX to and boosted b20 vtec when i was 17 (bad idea) and it was making like 230-250whp. Drove that until i turned 20 ( few months ago ) and built my hatchback. It made 429.1whp on 14psi pump gas. I was always jabbaring about i want 700whp. I have YET to turn the boost up and its been built and tuned for 4months now. I could throw race gas in the car and crank the boost up anytime i want. The car basically does burn outs if i lay into anywhere under 70mph. Im pretty content. I think 280-300whp on ur ctr motor will be plenty fast enough.Sorry for the lengthy post.

^^^welcome to tr, and good post.

unless that b16b has a bad past, its perfecty safe to boost it ATLEAST 8 psi with a conservative tune.

Sounds fast. Maybe we should "compare" sometime
