i heard from some ppl that u CAN put GSR rods and GSR pistons in a LS block if u use a GSR crank.....then i called CMS to ask and they said no...so im confused...just want to make sure b4 i buy anything...Thanks TR

 

As I told you before, you can run a gsr rotating assembly in a ls block...

 

You asked me if you could run LS rods and pistons with a GSR crank and I said no. I didn't say no to running ALL GSR internals. Sorry for the mistake.....

 

i thought it wouldnt work since the gsr is only a 1798cc and the ls is a true 1.8?

 

It will work, the deck height of both blocks is the same, the only difference is the rod/stroke ratio.

no gain or loss i think, just depends on if you get a good deal on some gsr pistons/rods or whatever.

 

does the GSR block have oil squirters? if so, I'd def want to transfer that over as well. If everything else is carried over you've got yourself a LS block with GSR internals...would be pretty cool shit.
