so i did my my oil change and spark plugs yesterday. i picked up royal purple oil at automotive engineering and then went to autozone because it was closer then advanced auto. so i go up to the counter and the guy asked if he could help me. i said yes and told him i needed spark plugs. he took my car info down he showed me my choices on the computer, i picked some off the screen and asked him how much they were. he replys with $12.95. so i said those are good. and he went back to get them. then i picked put my oil filter and went to check out. he rings me up and say 56.95!!! i was like HOLY SHIT. you said the plugs were 12.95. then hes like they are 12.95 EACH like im going to pay that much for plugs. soi said i wanted to get a different set.. i didnt bring that much money with me. he got all pissed off and was like WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT THEN.so i picked some off the computer screen.. he goes and gets them and he was getting really mad. with my new plugs my total was around $13. i was in a good mood that day so i just left so i could go work on my car.i change the oil, plugs,and what not. as soon as i start the car it bogged. i took it around the block,the plugs fuc*ed up. my car just bogs and shit. i took them out and checked the code. the asshole at autozone gave me the wrong plugs... not i have to get a ride upto the store to get new ones.. and i missed work cause i couldnt dive..

i just wanted to get this off my chest.

That's why I go to Advance Auto Parts and look the stuff up myself on their computer (they have one for customer use). Makes things a lot easier. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

 

yeah, i almost always go to advanced but it was out of the way so i didnt think it was a big deal

 

i work at autozone. I can understand where your comming from. But its not the company just the ass hat you delt with that time. Btw stick to ngk R's not the irridium ones for 12.95

ide go pre-gapped, unless you have a spark plug gapper and know what your doing with it.

also, i agree. i dont go to autozone because all my experiences there suck, and their comercial/slogan suck ASS. plus, it seems i know atleast 1 person at every advanced autoparts i go to, so i get the hookup.

 

Last time I went to autozone the kid just starts talking out of his ass that the gasket I need is dealer only, a gasket for a 88 5.0 Went to advance and they had it in stock.

 

autozone sells denso but like stated hate the person not the company shit i love them even more now do to the price in motor mounts/axles/oil pumps/and timeing belts autozone is the best and i only go to the one on hillsborogh.hanley road..
