Default 98 lx motor

My father in-law just picked up a 98 lx. He is looking to do motor work but has no idea which way to go. He wants to keep the block and do a head swap, and try to get the most out of that motor, just looking for a little direction here if anyone has done one yet.

Tell him to pony up and sell the onegle cam and get a b-series swap. He'll be much happier and have less headaches!

yea id go with something b series also. doing any type of head swap on a sohc motor isnt going to make much hp difference.

I have him looking into a b20b block for starters, getting into anything like a b16 is gonna be hard as hell to find for a decent price. Any ideas if he goes with the b20b? I've heard these are great for boosting nasty

Yeah the head swaps are minimal gain but is inexpensive route to go without a power adder.
