car just shuts off

my aunt has a 1990 accord with 150,xxx miles all stock automatic. and she will be driving down the road and it just shuts off on her. happenes alot lately. no overheating or anything just loses power and shuts off.

check plugs, cap, rotor. any check engine codes?

yes check the cap and rotor as well as the ignitor may want to try replacing it this is one thing that will cause the car to just die.

i would also check all the ground and battery connections. and possibly change the main relay.

Check the fuel pump, it may be going bad, or overheating, causing the car to die out(shut off)
