Im lookin to stroke my B16 but dont feel like payin over $2000 for a stroker kit from crower, Im wondering if a LS crank in a B16 would be a good way to get more cc's outta a B16. If anyone has done this or knows of someone who did lemem know if they had any problems and also id like to know what it strokes out to after its done, im wanting to get atleast 1.9l or more outta a B16. gimme some info, if not ill have to save up and get a crower kit

 

The deck hight on your b16 is shorted then a b16b or b18c1, b18b etc...
To use an ls stroke with your b16 you will need custom pistons.

Do your self a favor, buy an ls shortblock.

 

I was thinking maybe a LS crank and .25 over OEM pistons but would i have clearance issues, im not very familiar with the stroke length differences between a LS and a B16, im basically lookin to get the most cc's for the cheapest, but do it with a B16 for various reasons

 

Did you read what I wrote ?
You can't stroke a b16a unless you use custom pistons etc.

 

custom pistons, gsr crank and b16 rods rod to stroke ratio would be 1.54 the same as ls vtec dont like the rod to stroke ratio buy a b18c1

 

the only drop in OEM bottom end you can use is the B17 old skool gsR crank, rods, pistons.

but you HAVE to use all 3 of these pieces, they cant be substituted for other models of internals, but you will gain more displacement


and yeah those tech43 pistons are teh hotness

yea its look like im just going to save up and get the crower kit, i figured itd be worht a shot to see if i could use all OEM internals but its lookin like thats not going to work. Anyone know any places that sleeve motor for a decent price

 

also, anyone know whats the largest bore i can safely get out of stock sleeves?
