So, whats everyone running???

I know Honda MTF is suppose to be the best, but I have come to the conclusion based on my own personal analysis and first hand experience IT SUCKS!!!!

I have changed tranny fluid 3 times this past month for various reasons, each time using honda mtf, and each time it has come out looking like dirty water...

It just doesnt hold up to the heat in my car for some reason, and breaks down and thins out very quickly...

So what is everyone else running, and what does everyone reccomend???

Im honestly starting to lean toward the syncro mesh....

And yes, I searched first

 

"lead" used GM syncro mesh and it fix somesort of issue he had....go for it..

 

Honda MTF works great in mint condition trannys.
Gm syncromesh works great in older trannys.
Gm syncromesh MUST be friction modified: #12377916

 

My transmission was a 97 GSR with a grand total of about 50k on it...

Whats the deal with the Penzoil syncro mesh that everyone has been talking about??? I hear its the same as the GM Stuff???

Is there anything else besides the syncro mesh that is good?????

 

i always use honda mtf, but with all the trannys ive blown i assumed it sucked, but i still use it for some reason. I have 3 qts of syncromesh in the garage ill probly use it soon.

 

Or you could sell it to me

i've always used honda mtf and never had any problems, i had looked up in my fluid guide at my store and it said you can use 10w30 oil in the tranny and my buddy at the dealer confirmed this. so, maybe try 10w30 oil?
