I had 10w30 in my S1 tranny with a grind in 3rd. I then put in the GM Syncomesh WITH fricton modifier (its a rearend differential fluid for all GM's sportscars, mostly in the Corvette) and it cured my gind. Ever since I swithced to that stuff, I have never used anything else. I recomended it to all my friends, and now thats all they use. One buddy of mine wanted to try something new, so he got some of the Royal Purple tranny stuff and he hated it, and went back to the GM syncromesh. SO, I recomend the GM syncomesh with friction modifier. Hope this helps.
