Describe "properly checked". If by that you mean "have someone look @ it that knows what the fuck they're doing" I've done that. MULTIPLE TIMES by various people on and off this site. Everyone has a different opinion.

Not trying to sound like an ass, If it was checked out right you would know what was wrong.Unless there is more than one thing wrong with it , there should be one opnion.
Give us call, I will look at it for free .
We fix alot of cars that mechanics own that don't know what the hell there doing.

Forget about the past. Lht offered to look at his car and try and help the kid out for free. You cant say much about that. Every shop cant keep everyone happy and people make mistakes.
