you couldn't even do a mini me on a b7 or b6 there are only two vavle lashes. So basically you will have a 16v which is 4 per cylinder. The d15b7-6 is only 2 per cylinder. The piston tops iam reallly tired. som of you might know what iam talking about .

8 valve pistons, 16 valve head. are you saying that its not possible? because this mini me at my garage definately has a b6 bottom end and a z6 head and runs good. im not the d series guy, never dealt with 8v motors, but shouldnt it just make high compression with 2 valve lashes since the pistons doesnt travel high enough to hit the valves?

Valve lash is not the valve reliefs cut in the tops of the pistons. crx1.8, never say never. Clay this combo and you'll see that everything is gravy.

hey im new to this site and just thought id feel you in you can ot put a D16y8 head on a D16a6 block dont waste you time i just spend three hours ona swap based on that and never thought of it till i went to bolt the head on adn the stud hole all line up but two of them dont... just my two cents worth from ym trial and error
