Just a quick question.......was the engine warm when you reved it up? if not let it warm up and try again. Also rev it up and put your hand on the valve cover *dont burn urself but see if you feel any vibration

fyi sounded like you were misfiring possibly, i know my valves were super tight and caused a misfire and my shit was shaking like a 4 dolla hoe on quarter night

 

was it idling REALLY low? i think my O2 sensor is bad b/c it doesnt like to start up when it sits for a while(btw does that sound like thats the problem?) and when i do get it started up it idles really low... after i let it sit for a while and start driving it it will buck back and forth also and then i hold the pedal down and it finally pulls out of it... see what happens if you do that... my car drives fine after that... as far as the sound goes mine makes the same sound right before it dies but i always attributed that to the RPM's being extremly low or something

I would start with what you know is wrong. replace the o2 sensor and go on from there. just my .02

 

no sense in replacing the o2 sensor if a rod is poking through my block

 

my car has bucked before because of the idle air control valve, and you said yours is bad, was it bucking just under light throttle? and for the noise, no fucking clue

 

the idle air control valve on my car has completely checked out... it's not doing the stupid revving idle thing, but it will die at stop lights and such, start idling at like 400 rpm, etc. and yes, all of this was at partial throttle around 2000 rpms.

 

Change IACV, TPS, and o2 sensor. I've had the bucking shit before after a nitrous backfire, broke the screen in the IACV, are you spraying? Get those changed and let us know.

 

i know what's causing the motor to stutter and buck and such, that wasn't really the issue, i was more worried about the noise than anything.
