A/C not working?
i just put in a new motor in my g/f's car and the a/c dosent work, i have no idea whats causing this so any help is appreciated, and also the check engine light came on a little after i put the new motor in any ideas on that?
Did the a/c work before the motor swap? Did you re-charge the system? Is it holding a charge. Are you using your old a/c compressor or the one that came with the swap? Is the clutch engaging (on the compressor)? Answering these questions will help diagnose your problem.

it was working before i swapped motors and i am using the original setup nothing was wrong before swap was done.also the lights dont even come on at night, the ones for the a/c controls.i have no clue whats wrong.i might have put the belts on wrong?,but every thing else is fine other than that, any ideas?thanks-keith
i think you are right, but,i hooked up every plug back to the right one.could it be a fuse or something else?its the original harness and the a/c was working before the swap so.....i have no idea what the hell it is.thanks-keith
first check and make sure there are no blown fuses. Second, turn the car to acc. unplug the a/c plug from the compressor and turn the a/c on. Check with a volt meter to see if you're getting power to your compressor. Your a/c harness should be part of the body harness and should not matter that a new motor was put into the car. I'm guessing a fuse if the a/c light doesn't come on.. keep us posted.
