I have a crx 89 dx with no seatbelts. I need to get some installed to legally drive it. Iam not sure if the 89's are the ones that were in the door or attached to the shell? I need to know. I don't even remember seeing a hole for the seatbelts in the upper part of the door. I know my 91 has the seatbelts in the door that come out of the interior skin.

 

my 89 si comes out from the bottom of the door not to sure if its the same since yours in the dx i know its the same with the crx 89 hf and if that fails you can get some 4 point harness' from summit for 60 i belive they are RCI harness'

 

89 was a transitional year for the seatbelts in the CRX...Si and DX were equipped with seatbelts that were door mount and the HF model had conventional body mounted belts. 1988 models were all body mounted belts and in 1990, all crx's were door mounted belts. HTH
