the signal wire, if you have a wiring diagram the speed sensor should have a wire for 12v, one for ground, and one for signal. if no diagram then you will need to use a multimeter to see which wire is ground, 12v, signal will be left over.

it's not retarded, it's just an item that alot of people end up not using. Let him find out on his own how useless a turbo timer is and he will learn more. I was told the same thing when I was installing my apexi unit, and I had to have it. well it's not going into my hatchback when I swap everything else over from the crx. the only use I ever got from it was the o2 sensor voltage when tuning ( just for comparison with the wideband o2) but with the wideband and hondata I realy didn't need it.

but if I had listened to everyone saying it's useless crap, I would still to this day think it would be cool to just get out of my car and walk away while it's running.

instead I learned, that after all the work of installing a turbo I was not going to drive hard right before I was parking ( even with the timer) and most of the time by the time I got all of my shit out of the car the timer was done, just leave the keys in it until you gather all your shit, and it's a stick so leaving it in neutral while I was in a store " hello can I help you steal my car" so I would always wait until the timer was done then put it in first.

P.S. anyone want to buy an apexi turbo timer???? only slightly used.

I didnt mean the TT was retarded, just hooking up the speedo wire. I cant stand it when the time changes. I keep it at 30 sec and leave it at that.

you wouldn't hook it up to your speed sensor. you connect it to the speed sensor input wire on the ecu(VSS). obd1 - B10 obd2a - C18 obd2b - C23 the wire is Yellow w/ Blue stripe.

also the TT should be hooked up to your E-brake switch. when the e-brake is lowered the car shuts off.

the speed an parking brake are safety features, the speed also adds features like how fast your going in km and other pointless stuff.....really it's not needed and you can program it to not adjust the time, but......I hook everything up when I do mine. the turbo timer has a lot of features....most of which are pointless.....also if you hook up the speed wire.... when you pullinto an area and turn off your car too quickly it will auto shut off the car as a saftey feature, since you don't want this...you will have to wait for about 1 or 2 seconds after your stopped before you turn the key. it seems like the speed sensor is a little delayed i guess
