heres the deal bought the car and the speedo didn't work so i bought a brand new vss (vehicle speed sensor) installed it everything went smoothly i've done it in other cars a million times....

after installing it it worked okay then about 15minutes later the needle starts bouncing around like a ping pong ball and dies so i drive home check all the wiring and check for signal and do all the steps to check the sensor was okay and it tested fine...after its cooled down that night got in and the speedo now works again, and again after 15 or so mins of drving it goes retarded and dies, WTF...is that

does any one have any ideas its 94 eg cx sohc vtec

and yes it does it everytime i drive for more then 15 minutes or so wether its driving hard or not breaking 2k rpm and with out touching anything just letting it sit for about an hour or two it will be fine....?????????HELP????????

 

Your cluster could be going bad.

 

thought about that but why would it only happen after car has been running for about 15 mins??
