smell burning oil when vtec hit ???

might be your rings, if your already burning oil then your just going to burn more during vtec, if you have a sohc you might want to think about a swapping to a b series

you are missing my point... if you have too much oil, then when your oil pump is running at peak (high RPM's under load) your oil pressure would be high enough so that it could push past some seals in the motor (like valve seals) and burn in the cylinders... hence smelling oil...

but if you oil is low then i am leaning towards something like rings... do a compression and leak down test...

LOL how does having too much oil make the oil pressure any higher than it would be with normal or slightly low oil level???

anyway it's more than likely the rings. like the other guy said, if it's already burnin a lil oil, it'll burn alot more under the higher rpm and strain when vtec kicks in

and that's one funny lookin seal! lmao

Dont be a jackass, everyone is having fun here and nobody and no disrespect here. This is a forum, not the Christian Academy were you have to seat tight and look straight. Everyone is allow to write what they want, of course, keeping in mind, we respect the others. Why dont you go and look for the ones that, dont show this. . .

but, to answer this for you... "Everyone is allow to write what they want, of course, keeping in mind, we respect the others" IF everyone could respect others, and understand that we are all joking all the time then maybe that could work... but, even if you know what someone is joking it can still hender someone getting an answer that they need in a timely fashon...
