piggy backs such as afc's do not let u adjust timing, they only do fuel. PS the headgasket was a waste of time and money IMO. oh and if octane booster fixes the problem, what are u gonna do? spend an extra 10 bucks everytime u fill your tank??? dont put a bandaid on a shotgun wound

dont waste your time with octane boosters they only go 1-2 points on 93. try retarding your cam a little to bleed off crank compression. check and see how much vacum you have compared to stock, could be throwing the map sensor off and changing your fuel curve. uberdata is free and to chip a obd ecu the parts shipped are like 25 bux for the diy guys. tune it before you break it !!! have a daily driven ls/vtec with 285 psi comp...

well i just got it running with the thicker head gasket and it sparked knock at a heavy load i added octane booster and it solved the problem. So now that i know it will run with just a liitle boost in octane im just going to add a little unleaded racing fuel in the mixture and have some fun. yea it will cost a little more but for right know it will be all right

detonation can not always be heard. How many people have to tell you to properly tune the car before you will listen? Start saving for a new motor.
