i dont know about accords, but on civics/tegs, 5psi is deadly on the afc hack cuz that is where peak ign advance is. ALso if ur gonan run the afc hack, i would get a real afc over the smc unless u are super duper ghetto, its only an extra $100 and u get 100 ricer points

 

I had it a while back also. They are stupid and a pain to tune with.

 

that smc is way different than the autotronic one. the auto tronic is 1700, but that smc sounds like it'd do you if all you want is 7psi and don't plan on going all out with it. don't know alot about the smc itself but for like 220 I'd take the hondata ( I'm a big fan of hondata if you couldn't tell by now. )

otherwise i have to buy injectores, missing link, and a $200+ safc, so this $150 smc with same me a bunch of money and i can use my laptop to tune in realtime, all i have to do is get the right hotsync wire and i can see what ever is going on. Its going to be hard to talk me out of the smc unless someone who has used it on an accord really thinks its garbage.

 

i talk to another buddy of mine that had the SMC on his accord, he said it was shitty, he only used it till he got a hold of what he has now...i forgot to ask him what hes running now, so ill ask hime later...and with the injector issue, the 450 DSM injectors work great..

 

i guess you have never tuned with a palm or laptop, the hotsync wire plugs into the diagnostic port and by using the tuning program i have on my lap top i can tell exaclty whats going on in the car in complete real time. Then tune the smc accordingly
