pistons good for ls vtec?

so all i have to do with pr3 pistons is get rod bolts i wouldnt have to renotch the pistons (stock ls) unlike if i were to go with the usdm itr pistons?

Regardless if you go with pr3/p30/p73/p72 pistons, you will have to get your pistons opened 1mm on each side to fit your ls rods.

You will also need/want ARP rod bolts which cost about $30
You will want to have them & your pistons professionally installed onto your ls rods.

are you sure on having to get therods grinded to fit pr3? only the itr/ctr pistons havea smaller opening i used the ls on the pr3 has play but i am not sure if the rods where machined cause when i put the crt's in the b16 i have to get the pr3rods grinded to fit the pistons but im not sure i dont have a spair set os ls rods but pr3 pistons have a large opening
