some times if it has been sitting for a some time the starter solenoid locks up you can tap the starter with a hammer and it will start lol

sounds to me like the clutch switch cut and splice those 2 wire running to the clutchpedal this should help your problem

If the relay clicks, it's not the relay. The wire from the relay to the starter may be bad.
If it'll start up when jumping from the batery to the starter, then there is something wrong between the keyswitch and the starter.
Replace the wire from the relay to the starter, or run yourself a pushbutton switch like a lot of us do
