Default ECU question: honda tech's enjoy this one!!!

ok i got a 91 crx hf with a 1st gen jdm b16a in it, PWO mugen chipped ecu 4800 vtec, 8500 redline and my car sputters and misfires really bad, we put my friends ecu in outta his 91 integra LS and it stopped sputtering jus no vtec, but it ran a hell of a lot better.. then we put a stock b16a ecu in to see if it was somthing to do with the ecu being chipped, and it sputtered again, then we put in his LS ecu, and it stopped sputtering.. weird huh? could it be my vtec wiring? or could this be something serious?

id really appreciate this if someone could tell me what u think?

either all the way 8500, or stops at 3000.. so... hmm? how much is a knock sensor, and how hard is it to put in?

what exhaust manifold do u have? obd0 b16's have a weird dual o2 sensor arrangment which can cause trouble if u have an aftermarket header that doesnt do this. The LS map may be a bitch richer. THe b16 compensates by lower base FP but i beleive the ls will still be a tad richer. but nothing enuf to be a night and day different liek you are descring. Has nothing todo with vtec wiring.
