wouldn't it be easier to trade someone the whole damn car??? and how much of the work is your girl going to be doing on this conversion??? since it sounds like you have no prob with a stick then she ought to be doing a whole hell of alot otherwise stick her behind the wheel and lock her in the car till she gets it right,,,, I mean it's not rocket surgery...

Don't get me wrong I'm not knockin you girl I have a ball and chain as well but it would be easier to put a nsx engine in the damn thing

I say it is a bad idea because it is alot of work. Alot of work that no-one I know of has done around here. If you run into a problem you might not be able to find an answer. Think of the ecu situation like this: If Honda took the time to make a seperate ecu for the automatics and spend a hell of alot of money developing it I'd run it. Especially since you should be able to pick it up for less than $50.

well im not worried, about the time or work involved i like a challenge once and awhile, and i love working on cars....as far as the amount of work shes gonna do on it, probably none, but shes done more than enough stuff for me, and i figure this is one thing i can do to pay sum back, so if she doesnt do anything(wich i dont expect)then no loss....personaly i dont think it will be that hard, i mean alot people do auto. to 5-spd. conversions...so why not 5-spd. to auto.

i think she should learn to drive stick properly just because money is not a big issue that does not mean you should squander it, when she properly learns to drive stick you could use that money that you would of put into the conversion into making the car look good or go fast or both and maybe even a system. do not think i am knocking you or your girl, just my 2 cents.
