you can use the tb of an auto integra or prelude b20 and the auto kick down cable will work. and the manual 5 speed ecu will run the auto tranny i have put one in a car and it worked fine.

GEt the ecu from an automatic ex civic coupe or sedan. Don't remember the code off hand. The wiring isn't too bad, just figure out where the two auto solenoid wires go to the ecu at and you should be set. You then would have tot see what wires need to be wired in at the shifter, might not need any, might just have to fool the clutch switch so the car will start or wire the clutch switch into the park/neutral switch on the auto shifter plug. If there was a car not too difficult to convert to auto it would be a crx. I still think it is a bad idea though.

I have an auto 90 hatch that I'm willing to convert to 5 speed. I have all the parts and wiring necessary to make this work, if you wanna trade let me know. I even have the gauge cluster that lights up which gear you are in. If you wanna meet up let me know.

the ecu controls the switching of gears in the transmission when it reaches a certain RPM

The ecu controls the amount of fuel the car gets at certain rpms, since an auto only has 3 gears, it shifts at different points, and the fuel on an auto ecu is setup different than a manual because the rpms the motor will rev out to before shifting. -Ben
