Let me ask you guys.Alright I get my bottom end rebuilt,new everything ARP rodbolts,spoon ITR pistons. I break it in according to the Helms manual,change the oil every two weeks drive easy except when Im racin on the weekends.And with 4000 miles on the block it starts knockin this weekend. What Im wondering is what the hell could have caused this.Im thinking of rebuilding it again but I dont know if the shop I got it built at knows what the hell there doing.

A shop in PlantCity...they said they have done plenty of Honda engines

 

If they built it and it is knocking at 4k miles....something is wrong. Contact them first, then tear it down to see what the deal is.

 

they probably didnt plastigauge shit, and were just using the milage theory for bearing colors, it happens all the time. didnt this motor knock the last time the shop rebuilt it??????

 

i know of someone who can rebuild it if it comes down to it.

 

i dont think so....i think that jeremy said it was "built" half the time he is full of shit...but i think it is that redneck enginieering at pc machine shop....they are used to that v8 shit.....

sorry to hear about that.... when you raced it on the weekends how high you rev it? what kind of bearings did they use?

 

maybe thay did not Tq right it happened to a motor i had to rebuild for someone thay Tq down the crank caps near the timming belt to much the guy said after abou 2months it started knocking i took it apart the bearings in the end cap was eatten up so much it had like almost 1mm play
