You don't need to fuck with the valvetrain when you're dealing with stg 1s, i've had mine in for over a year, NOT ONE PROBLEM.

Ok buddy!

Ask your self this.
Why did honda install inner & outer valvesprings in the ITR & CTR ?

B16A2/3
Intake
open: 10° before TDC
close: 40° after BDC
valve lift: 10.5 mm

Exhaust
open: 40° before BDC
close: 7° after TDC
valve lift: 9.4 mm

B18C1
Intake
open: 10° before TDC
close: 40° after BDC
valve lift: 10.5 mm

Exhaust
open: 40° before BDC
close: 7° after TDC
valve lift: 9.4 mm

Manufacturer / Intake / Exhaust
Integra Type R 11.5 mm, duration - 240 @ 1mm 10.5 mm, duration - 235 @ 1mm
Civic Type R 11.5mm, duration - 243 @ 1mm 10.5 mm, duration - 235 @ 1mm

Skunk 2 stage1 11.58 mm, duration 252 @ 1mm 10.9 mm, duration 249 @ 1mm

And you are telling me its ok to run factory valvetrain on that lumpy goodness? Ok Maybe factory itr valvetrain.

To each is own, run what you want, I wouldnt tell a "friend" to run a stock b16 valvetrain w/ any other cams besides b16 cams

You're turning this into a fight or something. I'm speaking from experience man, i've had these cams for nearly a year and half with no problems, that's all i'm saying.

I am sure there are tons of people that run itr cams on a stock valvetrain. I was just saying that in my opinion I would atleast use an itr valve spring set b/c I am sure there is a reason that itr/ctr motors come with that setup.

If your under a budget, sure stick cams in on a factory b16 valvetrain & pray nothing happens if you decide to shift at 9k by mistake one day.

Vito, I hear where you are commin from...
