I know nothing of lht and have not yet had ss do any work on my car ( only because I have been putting together all the parts needed for a turbo kit ) but every time I have a I have called to ask a question or post something here they are great at giving advice and letting you know when your about to screw up. I have never heard of anything bad about them. As soon as I get the rest of my turbo kit together I will be at their shop for the install and tuning ( hondata, and custom ic piping, plus the other shit ). I have heard of people that live far away going to ss. I myself am in riverview ( thats about an hour with good traffic and forgetting to look at my speedo ) I will not go anywhere else but ss for this type of work. You will also find out that if they aren't sure or there is someone more knowledgeable about a specific question you ask they will not bullshit you so that you think they know they will tell you straight up here's what I think but ask ( insert name ) he knows all about it.

I think that rather than asking which shop in Tampa area you SHOULD go too, you should ask which shops NOT to goto.

The Tampa Bay area has some of the BEST shops around. We have shops that not only "Do the usual", but that also "Do the unthinkable".

Sr swaps in Miata's or BMW's? Rom tuned nissan ECU's? SR's in old skool 240z's, and just some wicked creations.

God I love living here.

I've heard of secret services blowing up motors from stupid mistakes and not admitting fault, I would take it to LHT.

please do not spread rumors. Present facts if you have them, but not "What I've heard".....

There usually a valid explanation for everything.

Charles, I know you know Keith right? I'm sure this is who Blake is talking about. This is in the past between Keith & I and SS. I have delt with both shops and spent big money with LHT. John took time to admit to his mistake and thanks to Scott of SS (Super nice guy) we are on talking/working terms again. But there was a time when the story of the car was spread freely. Since, John has manned up and took care of us and that is in the past. Also I have had an intercooler (liquid to air) done by John at LHT that was/is faulty. As soon as John realized what the problem was he manned up, and offered AMAZING Customer service. I was VERY impressed with John at LHT, his knowledge, fabrication and all around nice guy. To be 100% honest, I personally haven't heard anything bad about LHT, but I have heard bad things from SS, Glenn (hybrid performance), Colin (Racing Intigration) and also my own shop (Chavez Motorsports).....So people are always talking shit. I also had Glenn make me a test pipe that broke....All I had to do was take it up there and have it fixed. So in the end all the shops are good to some and suck to others.

But like John at SS said, John at LHT is amazing in everything he does and uses SS dyno. So if you go to LHT you'll end up using both shops anyway.

As who am I most impressed with (honestly) John at LHT hands down.
