Default 88 Civic Crank Bolt

Hi,

My timing belt got tangled up and messed up.
I gotta take the crank pulley off to get to the timing belt and remove the cover.
Anyways, I tried gettin the crank pulley bolt off with no success whatsoever.
Do I have to have a impact wrench to remove it?
I have tried a long breaker pole but there isnt much room to turn it. Plus it keeps spinning, even with the crowbar jammed between the pulleys.
If i was to rent one a impact wrench how much are they to rent for a day at like Autozone or Discount Auto?
I heard the pulley bolt has 119lbs of torque on it.
Thanks.

nah it cant run, the timing belt got real messed up.
I feel so stupid, while i was puttin my new 5 speed tranny and clutch on I was spinning the flywheel to tighten the clutch plate.
ANyways, i wasnt paying attention but the timing belt was gettin tangled in the pulley.

Somone said the best way to do it without a impact wrench is to take the starter out and jam a screwdriver in the flywheel.
That locks it so I can hopefully pull it loose. that shouldnt damage the flywheel right? Thats the way I did it when the engine wasnt in the car.

Thanks

ok, when i tightened it on i put exactly 119 lbs of torque on the pulley.
So i think i should be able to get it out. Do you have the jack the car up and take the drivers side wheel out?
Thanks
