VTEC Solenoid clean-out

, forgive me for not sharing your thoughts on that, i've seen plenty of Honda techs that didn't know their ass from a hole in the wall, you have yet, in my eyes, to prove otherwise. I'm offering people multiple options, AKA trying to help them, you seem to just want to bitch at them and tell them to buy a manual.

lemme explain why you dont service them, ever clean electronic parts ie sensors with parts cleaner ? if so good luck with it lasting. The VTEC noid, is very sensitive, once they go bad they are bad, If you have a clogged noid you have LARGER issues. If you get trash that far up in the head somethings wrong with your engine and that noid is the last ting you need to worry about. Right here in my manual it says NON SERVICEABLE PART, REPLACE IF FAULTY Honda recomends replacing parts with new ones instead of further damaging them or damaging other engine components. If your gonna do something do it corrctly per OEM guidlines thats why 90% of you guys break shit or get on here and ask dumb questions. And yes being a certified Tech does mean a shitload they dont hand it out, it took me years and experience to obtain that cert. I have yet to see you correctly contradict me on anything just like CRIX !

I have personaly changed my screen/o-ring when I rebuilt my motor. It IS an orderable part from ANY honda shop. Simple as that.
I also agree that if you have ANYTHING in that screen, then your oil filtering is failing and you have much bigger problems.
It will not hurt to look at it if you feel so inclined, but if you see anything in it, I'd be suspicious of other things that could be wrong based on what it is that is in the screen.

no you can not service the VTEC Selinoid ! the screen ISNT a part of the selinoid !!! its got two parts to it !! Learn a lil more. You have the Selinoid and pressure sensor the big green thing is the valve !the screen is between the head and noid assy itself.
The upper green piece is the OilControl orifice basicly opens when the lower part pressure sensor has the correct psi and TPS and MAP sensor pressure is reached. The actual Noid assy has a Screen inside the noid, the screen between the block and assy is serviceable as well as the o-ring. You cannot service the noid itself. you replace it.
