You need to run a deck spacer which requires 2 head gaskets. It can be done and works well but i wouldnt do it myself.

he said b16b, b16b has the exact same deck height as b18's. Just put the gsr crank, rods, and pistons in and you will be fine. Why spend the money on a b16b to convert it to a gsr tho? U can get a stock gsr cheaper than a b16b.

What do you plan todo when the piston goes above the sleeve, causing the pistons rings to expand out causing them to catch on the edge of the sleeve on the way down ripping them off and prolly breaking the ringlands in the process?

What he said. And also are you doing this because you already have the B16b? If that's the case sell the fucker and just buy a GSR, it would be much cheaper and easier in the long run, you should probably keep the head though.

I've been trying to sell the shortblock but no one wants it. If the b16b has the same deck height as a GSR then it would be cheaper to just buy the GSR internals for the B16B cause I'm just gonna build the GSR anyway. And if the deck height is the same then everything for a GSR will fit, right?
