I don't believe that shipping price, and your righ 450 is slightly higher then I'd like to pay.
im not familiar with the JDM models, HOWEVER I was not aware they came in obd2 at all.
The only D15B VTEC's I've read about are the 130ps 3 stage from obd1 VTi Civic's. Honda is known for putting several engines in other cars, so who knows what else this engine came in. I wouldn't doubt if there was a non-obd version in a JDM CRX.

You could put a z6 head on there no problem, however, a y8 may be of some difficulty, and there may be some slight modification/fabrication needed. I do not recall the differences offhand. A Y8 head however, would be the ideal choice. I really would like to turbocharge one of these motors. :/

Waste of time and money. Save up for whichever swap you want to do.
D15B VTEC heads are not common to come by, if your dead set on swapping a VTEC head on there, use a Z6 head, and a p28 ECU, however, you will not be able to use the redline of the p28 because your bottom end is not made for it. You also don't have a VTEC oil pump... there's really a lot you have to do to get a non-vtec motor ready for VTEC, and it's best to save the money for a more power-based motor.

lol i'll save it then. i've looked and looked and never find the same thing on the d15b8's redline. i've seen 6200, 6300, 6500, even 7200!! what is it? also i was told the shifting is 36, 62, 94 since there isn't a tach. true?
thanks
