I have outrun alot of people with my LS because they were in 5th when i was in 4th,but i have forced inductoin.LS is great for highway racing and gsr for light to light.

 

um well most civic dont even use the 5th gear when racing

when i had my swap being in 5th meant i was over 125mph

id say for an all motor LS get a b16 tranny

 

tru but a gsr with LS 5th owns all.

i have had every tranny in my car, if i had to pick one to stick with id pick the gsr, but this is for boost. the LS is killer from a roll too. my rpms will drop to about 6k when i shift but its still in a solid torque band around there, and will do almost 140 in 4th:o

 

thats about what i did with my LS.My LS 5th is good for mileage but no pull.If i had the power the LS 5th would go like175mph.I will find out how the GSR works because Its going in when the quafe arives monday.2 wheel peel now!!

 

Now its time for more boost. Give me an IM when you are going to the track. I am waiting on some new injectors and back to the dyno we go. Should have my car up and running in the next couple weeks man.

gsr trannys are the best all around. ive got a b16 tranny in my crx and its awesome for all motor but it sucks on the highway. i think its like an .84 5th gear. WAY too short....i hear humming in my ears for hours after i leave the highway

with my 150 shot i had the gsr tranny first ,with it i would hit the juice and i wouldnt be able to shift fast enough , and the 1/4 i was shifting in to 5th,now with the ls in my car i get trantion at the top of 2ndi shift out of 2nd at 75 3rd tops 105 and in the 1/4 mile i never have shifted out of fours gear.so i am happy with it but if u do gsr na its good turbo or boost of some kind ,u will shift more offten,with ls u will be in boost longer getting more mph its all up to u ........
